WhatsApp Disclosed, “We’re excited to announce that starting today we’re bringing digital payments to WhatsApp users in Brazil. People will be able to send money securely or make a purchase from a local business without leaving their chat.”

Brazil communities are more into businesses with over 10 million small and micro businesses, thus The new WhatsApp digital payment system feature is to enable customers to be able to send payments for products as well making purchases via chat directly.
However, sooner or later this feature will be available for everyone just as it is for the people of Brazil, Also while using WhatsApp digital payments, it is free for people to send money or make purchases, but businesses will have to pay fees for processing customers’ payment, WhatsApp Said.

“We have built payments with security in mind and a special six-digit PIN or fingerprint will be required to prevent unauthorized transactions. To start, we will support debit or credit cards from Banco do Brasil, Nubank, and Sicredi on the Visa and Mastercard networks -and we are working with Cielo, the leading payments processor in Brazil. We have built an open model to welcome more partners in the future”
How to Setup WhatsApp Digital payments Method
Let me show you set up, send or receive money using WhatsApp digital payment. Before you can use WhatsApp payment, you must be at least 18 years and in possession of a debit or credit card and currently transacting not from WhatsApp web or WhatsApp desktop, and have set up and verified Facebook Pay.
To set up Facebook Pay, go to More options > WhatsApp Settings > tap Payments > Facebook Pay > CONTINUE.
- Create a 6-digit Facebook Pay PIN.
- Confirm your Facebook Pay PIN by entering it again > tap NEXT.
- To use your fingerprint instead of manually entering your PIN, tap USE FINGERPRINT. Otherwise, tap Skip to manually enter your PIN.
- Enter your full legal first and last name and your CPF > tap Next.
- Then add your credit or debit card information such as Name, card number, Expiring date, and CVV.
Once that is done, you are ready to start sending or receiving money directly on your WhatsApp chat.
